Batman #79 Review

A much-needed breath of relief before we get going to the final 5 issues of King's Batman run.

He’s Batman. I’m Catwoman. We are the message.

If the last issue was not your kind of Batman tale – this week might make you rethink your tastes. Combining the great Bat and Cat conversation from last time and then throwing in some good old rogue fighting – this issue we get the best of both worlds.

While overhearing complacency in Gotham from fear over the radio at their hotel bar, Bat and Cat decide to stop the Venom supply and to get a message sent – their coming back to Gotham. While events herein take place before what went down during issue 77, we’ll be sure to see more of those events play out – next issue.

Clay Mann has and always will be the defining artist of this series. While some guest artists have jumped in to help out – his art still outshines. This issue is no different. We are treated to beautiful night escapades and sunsets that jump from the pages.

A much-needed breath of relief before we get going to the final 5 issues of King’s Batman run.
