The Flash #78 Review

A great addition to this abundant and thrilling story-line.

All the horrors I’ve witnessed…death was always…ahead of me.

Psych came into this series as a wildcard and it looks to be his downfall in this issue. The Forces are connected and causing havoc on one another. The Speed Force has sent The Black Flash out to attack the opposing Force users to save itself and the Speed Force from destruction. Barry Allen is having none of that.

Commander Cold has things locked down at Flash HQ and is able to subdue the Still and Strength Force users while Flash goes after Psych. We also get a peek at Kid Flash and Avery dealing with ongoing problems while Flash deals with the Forces.

Leonard Snart, Captain Cold, is out recruiting still. Upon finding Mirror Master we find out his true intentions were to find his sister, Golden Glider. As Snart departs, he remarks that she’s a key part of his master plan.

Joshua Williamson gives us a great issue with building momentum and a hardcore final panel. The artwork is cinematic and engaging for every punch, freeze, and race – great work all around.

Overall I’m pleased with how Williamson is taking this run. A great addition to this abundant and thrilling story-line.
